Twenty-four pallets loaded with boxes containing about 3.5 million plastic bags that are not regular, non-compostable and non-biodegradable and therefore not tradable according to the European directive, were seized by the Turin Municipal Police in a cold storage cell deactivated in a wholesale storehouse of meat managed by Turks in Cinisello Balsamo, in the Milan area.
For the company owner, a fine of 5,000 euros was taken, as well as a complaint for the building irregularities found. Surveys showed that the bags had been bought in Germany.
